Other parties

We are presently focused on passing a policy resolution within the Liberal Party of Canada.

Even if you are not a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, please consider adding your name in support of the policy resolution.

If you are a member of the Conservative Party of Canada or the New Democratic Party of Canada, please feel free to use the resources on this site to advocate for a basic income pilot. The Green Party of Canada has committed to a Guaranteed Livable Income in its Vision Green, although they have not proposed a pilot.

There are proponents of a basic income supplement in each of the four national political parties, including Senator Hugh Segal (Conservative). If you are willing to champion a concerted effort to have your political party adopt a similar policy resolution, please email jesse@helmer.ca. We would be happy to support your effort and setup specific pages on this site for your initiative.

I don’t belong to any political party. I am an independent supporter of basic income. I believe each Canadian should be granted enough of a stipend to enable them to at least purchase adequate decent food and safe shelter. I believe the basic income stipend should be unconditional, given directly to the individual, and not be under the control of an institution or group or family.
